A Liberal Supermajority: We're So Screwed!

Guest Editorialist

Editors Note: This editorial is a guest editorial of close friend who works in the defense Industry. But the sentiments is clear.. We are facing disaster with a possible election of liberal socialist: His words are the words many of us would like to say. Hard to believe we face a reality of high taxation and representation of extremes.

The way I see it is that the danger from a far left, radical socialist liberals like Obama, Pelosi and Reid is much greater than that from Republican conservative that often crosses the line a ways in to liberaldom like McCain.

I've always liked Democrat, liberal Joe Lieberman (to name a one). McCain and Lieberman are very similar. I wouldn't have a lot of heartburn with Liebernan.

Obama, on the other hand, is a nice and smart guy, but he's the most radically left person in the Senate - and Joe Biden is #3 according to their voting records.

Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, and Harry Reid, leader of the Senate, are fundamentalist radical leftists. They decry the "fundamentalist" Christians, but they are even further left than those Christians are right. These are not your normal moderate Democrat liberals like Lieberman, but rather true believers in the socialistic fringe of the Democrat/Liberal party.

Normal liberal vs conservative competition is healthy, but when we abandon common sense because we're afraid and mad in a time of crisis, that's when it becomes dangerous. History is replete with examples of free societies that made the same serious mistake we're about to make: turning our futures over to some form of "saviour", which is what Obama has become.

FDR and LBJ were both radical leftists (actually, technically, FDR was an American form of fascist who idolized the same kind of fascist socialism Hitler and Mussolini advocated before their evil agendas transformed German and Italy into the nightmares they became). They fundamentally transformed our government and society from that of freedom to that of ever more socialism. Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are today's fundamentalist radical leftists that will once again force socialist changes - IF we make the mistake of permitting them to not only retain, but increase their power.

Regardless of how much I (and you) don't like McCain, he's nowhere near the threat to the American way of life posed by these far left Democrats represent if they have total control of every branch of government. McCain represents the same level of threat that, say, Lieberman represents.

This election isn't just the normal Republican vs. Democrat we've had during the last 40 years. It's truly Capitalism vs. Socialism, a referendum on the fundamental nature of our society and the environment our grandchildren will inherit.

This is no ordinary election. It will have repercussions for 100+ years (we're still dealing with the same kind of massive socialistic changes FDR made 60-80 years ago, and those by LBJ made "just" 50 years ago).

Closer to home, the probability that I'll lose my job is much, MUCH greater under Obama than McCain. If we can't stabilize this economy, layoffs and high unemployment are inevitable. Raising taxes in such an economy practically guarantees such: that's what FDR did that caused the Great Depression to be worse than it need to be.

I can't afford to lose my job when unemployment is high. I can't get a job that doesn't exist. I can't afford to lose the house I've almost paid off because of the total abject failure of the Democrats' socialist agenda to have the taxpayers provide "affordable housing" to those whom they knew couldn't pay for it. my son can't afford to graduate from college when unemployment is high. I can't afford to lose the car I'm still paying for. my son can't afford to lose the car he's still paying for.

Why would we give even more power to those morons who caused this economic crisis?

The Democrats totally betrayed our trust and wreaked havoc on our economy.

Why the hell would we give them even more power to pursue even riskier schemes than "affordable housing"? Their intentions are good, but when they abandon sound economic principles they hurt us all - just like now.

Despite his many failings, McCain just isn't anywhere near the threat to the American way of life that the combined Obama/Pelosi/Reid ticket represents.

We can't afford to give these radicals total, ultimate power that rational, dissenting voices have no power to oppose.

We just can't afford Obama/Pelosi/Reid to hold power simultaneously.

Obama + Pelosi + Reid = Radical Socialism

Vote for change: we NEED oppositional government

We're screwed if we don't.
