Editors Note: This editorial is a guest editorial of close friend who works in the defense Industry. But the sentiments is clear.. We are facing disaster with a possible election of liberal socialist: His words are the words many of us would like to say. Hard to believe we face a reality of high taxation and representation of extremes.
Obama and a Democrat Congress will dramatically shift defense spending to fund huge entitlement/welfare programs, creating The New New Deal.
What's that going to mean: massive layoffs in the Defense Industry starting, probably, next year and increasing thereafter after their bone headed, failed FDR era "fixes" for the economic crisis they, themselves, created, which will actually make it worse - just like FDR did, raising taxes and many other things during a time of economic crisis, causing my parents and millions of Americans to suffer for many years during the Great Depression.
The Democrat Congress is ALREADY cutting defense spending. Obama promised to cut billions more out of SDI and FCS and the far left loons in Congress (e.g., Pelosi, Reid) will take it even further. Where will they send that money: to socialized programs to pay for healthcare and the unemployment THEY created.
The probability of losing my job and losing the house I've made damn sure I paid for every month for years and years and nearly own will vastly increase with Obama's socialistic presidency and the radical left lock on Congress Pelosi & Reid will hold. If I lose my house, I'm certainly not going to benefit from the bail out of those morons who overreached into a mortgage they couldn't afford -- after making dam sure I paid my mortgage every single month. I'll be bailing them out while losing my job and my house. If I'm lucky enough that it's not me, it'll be hundreds of my friends.
And we're about to actually reward those same corrupt Democrat politicians that created this damn economic mess in the first place by not only putting them back in control, but giving them enormously greater power by having an absolute lock on Congress and the White House in which the Republicans can't stop or even moderate anything.
All because of Democrat's political power lust and their abject refusal to regulate the worthless Wall Street securities that resulted from their "affordable housing" agenda... and because Americans aren't interested enough to actually understand what's going on.
Elections have consequences.
Making bad electoral decisions have bad personal consequences.
We're so screwed.
Hello FDR 2 and The Great Depression: The Sequel. Sure glad I'll be able to get "free" (i.e., subpar) healthcare, welfare and a $5000 "tax refund" in excess of all those taxes I won't be paying because 95% of Americans will get a tax cut.
I can't tell you how pissed off I am at these corrupt Democrat SOB's, who are somehow bizarrely benefiting from the economic crisis they, themselves, created while audaciously blaming their disgusting handiwork on Bush and the Republicans, no less!!!!! I am outraged, but powerless to stop what will surely result from history repeating itself.
What are we in for?
We, as Americans, are woefully ignorant of our own recent history.

If the current polls hold, Barack Obama will win the White House on November 4 and Democrats will consolidate their Congressional majorities, probably with a filibuster-proof Senate or very close to it. Without the ability to filibuster, the Senate would become like the House, able to pass whatever the majority wants.
Though we doubt most Americans realize it, this would be one of the most profound political and ideological shifts in U.S. history. Liberals would dominate the entire government in a way they haven't since 1965, or 1933. In other words, the election would mark the restoration of the activist government that fell out of public favor in the 1970s. If the U.S. really is entering a period of unchecked left-wing ascendancy, Americans at least ought to understand what they will be getting, especially with the media cheering it all on.
....
In both 1933 and 1965, liberal majorities imposed vast expansions of government that have never been repealed, and the current financial panic may give today's left another pretext to return to those heydays of welfare-state liberalism. Americans voting for "change" should know they may get far more than they ever imagined.
I'll only have two things to say if there's a Democrat sweep.
1. Thanks, America, for putting these corrupt morons back in power and giving them more.
2. Shit
If we put these morons back in power, we're so screwed.
America will never be the same.
Shall we call ourselves, the American Socialist Republic?
We can't afford to let the far left Democrats control Congress, The White House and the Judiciary at the same time.
