On September 11th 2001, Our country was attack and the World Trade Center was destroyed and after many years of disagreement they Started the process of rebuilding. Governor Pataki of New York name the new tower the Freedom tower in honor of the victims who lost their lives on that day.
The freedom tower will be located in the northwest corner of the 16-acre World Trade Center with a 1,776-foot spire representing the year of the nations founding in 1776. The work on the freedom Tower began in 2006 and most likely be completed in 2012.
Liberal Slate Magazine once called the Freedom Tower: “a clumsy visual echo of the Statue of Liberty” But in reality the real problem was the name?
According to Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Chairman Anthony Coscia says that it's a bottom-line thing; One World Trade is just easier to market.
Former New York Governor George Pataki has come out strongly against the change, saying that the "Freedom Tower" name was "symbolic of our commitment to rise above the 9/11 attacks," and added that the World Trade Center name should not be reused out of respect for the dead.
Ok, now that the news was told on this blog, The real reason has nothing to do with marketing and it has everything to do the liberal- progressive thought that we not only need to Move-on but forget about the what happen on that faithful day. September 11 so sticks out in American history that it drives the liberals in this country absolutely crazy.
They done everything in their power to forget, and do so quite often that renaming things that helps in what they consider their own recover. Before September 11th they were so deranged on how George Bush robbed them of their glory of having one of the most corrupted Vice Presidents next to Aaron Burr to become President. After all who else in the world, would think of selling carbon credits, much like the 14th cwtury Popes selling indulgences! Great Money making scheme, wouldn't you say?
While it seems that far left does not wants is not to offend their Muslin cousins in hopes they would not fore stall any future attacks on the structure.
The far left’s obsession to getting along with people and trying their best to forget 9-11 in obvious, and laughable, if it wasn’t so serious, in our relationships to other nations as a whole. President Obama renaming the War on Terror to "Overseas Contingency Operation or as some far left calling the Islamic terrorist “freedom freighters” which is many examples for selective memories.
But I was thinking why stop their why not change the name of other moments and buildings across this nation. I have some suggestions:
Statue of Liberty could be called that Green old lady statue.
Liberty bell could become The cracked old bell.
Mt. Rushmore could become the four old men in the mountain and lastly the Lincoln Memorial could become The man with those many whiskers.
The left has become so willing to accommodate fascist that they willing to give up this country's soul to the many extremes of the world. They are afraid of the word freedom and willing to give up theirs in order to forget about what history has said about pacifist in the past. Some say Freedom is not free, others are willing to give it up to slavery for the sake of peace! There are so many wiling to give up their freedom for the sake of peace.
