My Struggles with Everyday Life: Man Against Razor

There’s nothing like a good clean shave to start your day off right. A well-shaved face leaves a good impression with potential clients and lady friends". This written in the early 1920's when having a beard was to the least a long lost art. Now if you can catch a man without one it can be a surprise. They seem to be coming back! Shaving is one of the activities men must endure in order to win the heart of their lady. My wife has told me that I cannot have a beard or mustache. In other words, she would not kiss or do anything else with me, if I had one!

Men in general are passive creatures in many respects, on we love our football games, Boxing and Car racing.
But there has never been a sport that should be center around shaving, and I am not sure there ever will be. I fear shaving and maybe that’s why great men in the past avoid it.
Abraham Lincoln, Brigham Young, Benjamin Harrison all had beards, To a lesser degree Clark Gable, Walt Disney had mustaches! These men I would consider cowards in the men’s shaving world! Oh, they were great and wonderful men, but to get them closer to a razor is not going to happen!

Even in Lincoln and Young’s day the thought of someone coming at you with a straight blade razor would frighten anyone.
I just realized a few hours ago how frightening I look when I shaving and I am not sure women can understand. Unlike woman, Men faces are nothing like women legs! Men have allot more bumps and curves that women do not have. Women have lesser degree than men and angles we have to get around are dangerous. We even have to deal with angles women would never attempt. The old Adams apple that women do not have always presents problems to men.

But to me the cuts are the things Men have over women in everyday. They are far worst than just sticking old toilet paper on them. In someways, it is a badge of honor to shave when your enemy is a razor that is about ready to give your face a battle. The Face is ready, the arms and hands that control the razor is ready. But the razor is thinking "I am not ready" and for that it has decided it will make your face look like something out of a world war battlefield.

It is something to be seen as you look into mirror and watch the epic battle of man against tired old razor and who will come out ahead? You look into the mirror and you look like a deer in the headlights as you drag that razor down the face. What is far worst is the guy in the mirror was getting ignoring to the point I was ready to smack him for staring at me shaving. Anyway, your not sure your going to make it and the razor certainly has other plans and you begin the first cut near your adam’s apple, from there you slice up your face to the point that surrender is the only thing you have left!

These are epic battles of man against beast, they are smaller battles than the one with a woman! But as you begin to realized that a even bigger battles could happen, if you put that razor in the hands of the woman. Don’t even go there!

Obama doing a Biden?

We know the current Vice President seems to want to put his foot in his mouth and enjoys the taste of it. But now President seems to have caught the same disease. When asked by a reporter last week, Obama decided he would add his two cents in. Like we were really interested in a cop doing his duty and a democratic Black racist willing to regenerate all the garage about how blacks have been treated all these years.

Ok we know some of that is true, yet we have our first Black President right now and we are still called Racist when we have a Police officer treated as a racist for doing his duty. Protecting people and putting his life on the line for these people. Maybe Obama has yet to understand that concept? But Professor Gates should have and in the very long run learned men should start acting "Learned"?

What this is all coming down too is Obama failures are becoming more and more Obvious, He is not up for the Job and acting the part of a Liberal Progressive whose Nazi influence is to blame the Police and society as a whole. The Blame factor for these people is extreme, Much like what Hitler did in the early thirties to gain power, Progressives are going back to their roots to dig up something to obscure their failures.

Conservatives need to bring up this up as much as possible, with Obama Job approval dropping , much like Jimmy Carter's we are about to see the democrats willing to tell the American people anything, including that the economy is doing great, even when it is not.

Are we about to see the Democrat progressive Liberals implode?

My Struggles with Everyday Life

(This article was written two years ago when venturing into a supermarket would be against my moral judgement in life)

Just happens that I went over to this brand new market the other day. I discover it most recently. You see Its been awhile since I when shopping in one. I don't like shopping generally, Oh I might stop at 7-eleven for milk or soda or something. The other day my Mon got sick so she asked me to go shopping for her and Dad and for that matter myself.
Up until them I would give Kristin, and my Mom a list of what I needed in the kitchen and off she would go. Nice Mom wouldn't you say?
So off I when to this BIG SUPER market name "VONS" This place would take you two days to get though. Pardon me but it seems to me a women's shopping dream. This store had a televisions attach to the shopping carts. With ads coming on the televisions sets.
I must have stood there for ten minutes watching the TV's commercials. Every time you would change isles a new commercial would come on the screen, Next thing you know there will be someone will come on TV telling you what to buy and not.
The security around the store was to say intense. Most likely people been stealing their TV's off the carts.
There was a traffic jam on Isle 52 so them the TV cart would tell you a different route to take to get to the Peanut Butter. I try tuning in Rush Limbaugh but no go.
Well two days later I got to cash register and this lady started to scan my cart full of groceries.
My Mon gave me a zillions of coupons to pay for everything. Started out with $125.00 and at the end of the bill. and ended up paying $83.22 cents. I can't figure how my Mon gets all those coupons.
I picture my Mom or even my wife mugging little old ladies and stealing their coupons before they walked into the store. Them my Mon told me that she gets them out of the Sunday papers. Well them Mon gets up and goes up and down the block early Sunday mornings before Church and steals everyone else coupons. Nope?
Well just a thought?

Our Brave New World Of "Change" ?

IN a world of technology how much of it is for the benefit of mankind or how much it hindrance? I asked this question in a wake of Obama care and will it rely on today's technology or not? And can we trust these Progressives with it? How much of these smart devices do we need to stay alive and when do we need to place a stop sign and tell out engineers they maybe violating our rights? It is not to far in the future that someone will be able to tract you jut by entering a ID number and then suddenly we appear on he screen telling us where we are and what we are doing.

We are becoming everyday less able to stop these type of evasion with advances in tracking technologies coming at an ever-faster rate. Of course, this has larger implications than just losing ourselves in a vase tech evolution. It could make our lives less and less valuable in a larger sense. With Obama care we could become less valuable with a card that has all our medical information on it, embed in our license or passport. The whole concept is frightening to this blogger and yet we are most likely going to have to accept it as a tool to best protect ourselves in a world where we can be killed by terrorist.

Today, I was watching the movie “Logan’s Run it dawn on me how close we are to decided who lives and who dies in this country. In fact it seems that we have or will already made that decision. This technology could make it easier to do so with the capability to already decide you fake with the government declaring you are non reversible and declaring the cost in treating you be to expensive!

Does this sound like science fiction, well maybe, It does seem that when you look at science fiction, you become aware of how close we are to it. Walt Disney once said it you can dream it , it most likely become a reality. Well how close are we to something like Logan’s Run or 1984 or for that matter Animal Farm?

In Logan's Run the Book depicts a dystopian future society in which population and consumption of resources is managed and maintained in equilibrium by the simple expedient of demanding the death of everyone upon reaching a particular age thus avoiding the issue of overpopulation. In doing the chip in their hand would change color preparing their way to the after life after the ripe old age of 21 and embed chip in their hands would suddenly without notice tell them that the they are ready to be slaughter, by order of the Government.

Logan the main character in this book discovering that he too would be asked to in effect commit suicide because his time had come, for the common good, to make room for another to take his place. A elaborate ceremony then takes place where the condemn would be sent away to the afterlife, by means of some sort of laser. We have not come to that as of yet, in our society we just throw them into trash bags after killing them and incinerate them.

As far fetch as this book may seem, some aspects of this seem more realistic in the course where we are about to enter this new brave new world of Obama. We have devalued the life of close to 50 million babies, and some of the excuses are that the poor babies would not get the love they deserve, so in effect we kill them to prevent them from not being loved or having chance to be loved? How screw up is our society when not loving someone becomes a need to killing them?

As bad as this sounds there is a movement to devalue the life of the elderly as well. It all comes down to wondering how long one must wait for science fiction to become less fiction and more reality. Of course the Progressives in our society feel that a devalued life is worth killing. Hence, Obama care would devalue the elderly by withholding care to save money. It would also force the elderly to report to the local government psychologist to determine if he or she is still a value to society? Certainly you wouldn't want them to burden the family and so having them commit suicide, like in Logan's Run seems reasonable, to a Progressive?

If you can read someones ID without him taking it out of his pocket, can we them assume that someone either the very young or very old are not worth saving? The modern progressives these days are so willing to let Government do for them what the individual should be for themselves. Unlike the Nazi Progressives of old a card that can be read could help them eliminate people who have become less worthy of saving. Hitler got it all wrong when he started killing people in the death camps when this technology would be so much easier!

Are we becoming more depended on our technology? Yes we are! Can this lead us to disaster? Certainly! More over, the health care proposal with the Government knowing all and embedding a chip with all your information on it, can become a far worst in evasion of our privacy than we all know. Well much to my dislike we are about to head towards that brave world where we have to determine what is life and what isn’t, we have already determine that life suddenly becomes life when a child is born and then it is a crap shoot to determine what it is when life ends, either by the Government rationing care or outright with holding care and allowing someone to died. Makes one wonder how far this can go, and what of the developmentally delay and handicapped? Can we assume their lives will be expendable as well?

Thomas Jefferson once said that Government can be a obedient servant or a fearful master, I wondering how fearful one would feel if you can be tract, can be told your not worthy to live? Is that something you can be fearful of?

The Death of Journalism: Walter Cronkite

When I heard about the death of Walter Cronkite I felt very sad about the lost, and his contribution to the nation. But then I have come to a conclusion that his lost no matter how great was a corruption of that institution.
Walter Cronkite along with many others destroy it. Instead of reporting the news in a bi-partisan way, he help bring about it’s destruction. Opinion should not have creep into the news to the extend that of what we see today on MSNBC or nearly every Network and cable Newscast. Cronkite would ultimately discard his life’s work to become an arbiter rather than a purveyor of news.

We have opinion pieces disguise as news pieces and we see such corruption in the Press that not even they can distingise between what is news and what isn’t. It was a shocker to that Cronlite-ism news media complain loudly of the establishment of one network and that was Fox News, How dare they just report and not spin it as Walter had told them to do. The media is so obsess with how terrible Fox was in comparison to the liberal spin. Fox News is now number one despite Cronkite, not because of Cronkite!

But they, the liberal media, cannot even understand the true meaning of reporting the news and not spinning it to their liking. They have lost their humanity to a political ideology and not what really happen. They want to become a part of the news and not a reporter of it.

Cronkite-ism of the news media has done such a disservice to America and to the American people. Sadly Cronkite, himself destroy his on creditability when he did not just report the news, but became a part of it in Vietnam. Cronkite reported a lost when it came to the Tet offensive, when the truth was the opposite. He himself could have killed thousands of soldiers during that war, but help in bring about the very defeat of the US in it. Even when the viet cong were defeated Cronkite’s analysis was wrong. Cronkite in effect made his contribution not as a reporter, but as a progressive commentator, he didn't report the news he dictated it.

Today the News media is obsess with the politics of Obama that they trip over themselves to lick his shoes. They have become a state run media, thanks to Uncle Walt. With Walter Cronkite we saw the death of journalism and not a honest interpretation of what was really going on. We see the likes of Half wits like Keith Olbermann, not reporting the news, but looking into their crystal ball and devising a agenda for it. Walter Cronkite was a great man. But for what he did to the craft of journalism, he should be soundly criticized, and not given a slap on the back and say that a boy! This is Walter Cronkite’s legacy. Shame on you Uncle Walt!

OH Joe! Shut Your Mouth!!

Vice President Joe Biden Has put his foot into his mouth the other day and swallow it! I can imagine President Obama sitting their watching this saying "SHUT UP JOE, SHUT UP!!!!" Joe was addressing a AARP town hall meeting that unless the Democrat-supported health care plan becomes law the nation will go bankrupt and that the only way to avoid that fate is for the government to spend more money. Huh? Joe, are you nuts? I can imagine President Obama face turning red! Gosh that would be a picture, wouldn't it?

Joe said:

“And folks look, AARP knows and the people with me here today know, the president knows, and I know, that the status quo is simply not acceptable,” Biden said at the event on Thursday in Alexandria, Va. “It’s totally unacceptable. And it’s completely unsustainable. Even if we wanted to keep it the way we have it now. It can’t do it financially.”

“We’re going to go bankrupt as a nation,” Biden said.

“Now, people when I say that look at me and say, ‘What are you talking about, Joe? You’re telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?’” Biden said. “The answer is yes, that's what I’m telling you.” (Watch the Video)

The event, sponsored by the AARP – which supports the Obama administration’s plan – was attended by mostly AARP members who were bussed in for the meeting. Yes all the drooling serior citizens who most likely were there not for Biden's speech , but for the free bingo and Dinner!

Biden took time from answering questions to chat with a member of the audience, who were mostly members of the AARP.

Biden told the group that the Obama health plan will not eliminate people’s ability to choose their health care insurance and that people who cannot afford insurance will be covered by the plan.

“They’ll be a deal in there so there’s competition, so what you’ll have in there is you’ll have the ability to go in there and say, ‘Now look, this is the policy I want. This is the one,” Biden said.

“And those people who can’t afford to get in there, up to a certain income, we’re going to subsidize them, you get in there and we’ll help you pay for it,” Biden said.

Can you imagine how silly this man sounds at least he isn't asked to spell potato!

Well we decided that there most be NEWS MEDIA coverup about this recent picture. President Obama and President Sarkozy of France at the recent G-20 summit, taking in the view. Wonder if he trip over his own feet while looking? President Obama must have been looking at this young lady delegate saying to himself something only the Democrats can understand... We know that President Sarkozy was looking at this young lady, one can only tell, Shame Shame President Obama following in the tradition of Democratic Perverts like President Clinton and Senator Kennedy. Boy Michelle, is going to be Mad???

Political Economic Misfits or Total Nuts

Nothing is so weird, than a democrat trying to be a physical Conservative and nothing is more weird that having people like Barney Frank and Senator Chris Dobb trying to lecture Conservatives they are not being reasonable about spending. But that was what we had prior to these past few democratic congresses. Yet we discover this little know phenomenon that now that the dems are in control of nearly everything and their spending habits sky rocket.

So all you have to do is look at the State of California we see what could be in our future, as Bloomberg called it the:

“l gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today." Syndrome, I added that last part,are I not clever?

All we have to do today is watch California in their budget crisis to wonder what maybe the country as a whole is going to feel in lets say, the next 50 years. California is mired in a Budget crisis largely a result of political infighting either among the democrats or for that matter and a impasse that makes spending cuts and tax increases impossible.

The State plans to send out almost 3.3 billion in IOU’s in July with these pieces or paper the question is who will do any type of business with California in the future. Nearly most of the problems California is in, is do to raising health care programs, that the state cannot imagine a solution with drastic cuts in nearly everything.

Now fast forward this to say five years from now with Obama care, if that monster passes, Can democrats be thinking, Holy cow this crap could be lay at our doorstep in the future in the same way that has in California? A question with asking in any future? One must asked is the U.S . Government headed in that direction when it comes to Health care and if so what are the solutions to it?

The answer is rationing, It has to be, and if they do that in the same matter that it is in California the debt fiasco almost assures that the public would hand the democrats a resounding defeat. The IOU's are simply a rationing attempt to forestall foreclosure of state properties, which California needs to sell. but will not and can not.

It will take a maybe decades for a mess to turn into a catastrophe and however they, the Democrat Party does it, it nearly doesn’t seem to phase them at all, the spending keeps going up. Why the spending in a time that most economist would never increase spending? Because the Radical Progressives know that this is most likely there only chance to get these obtuse programs installed. From a health care which would disable private plans to Cap and Trade that would place more people in unemployment rolls to save the enviroment and supposedly and create Green jobs. They know that their actions will usher in a Conservatives moment , hard to stop , but figuring that once these programs are implemented , nothing will stop them, like what happen in Britain


It will take Years and Years for the mess that is California to translate to the Federal Government and yet it will in the very long run. We have two Political parties that are always willing to offer easy government solutions for every need of the voters.


When you have politicians like Senator Spector so willing to Change allegiance like he changes underwear it begins to make one wonder if either party realizes what they are doing to country as a whole.

“California has engaged in an orgy of spending, but, compared with our federal government, its legislators should feel chaste. The California deficit this year is now north of $26 billion. The U.S. federal deficit will be, according to the latest numbers, almost 70 times larger.
Bleak Picture
The federal picture is so bleak because the Obama administration is the most fiscally irresponsible in the history of the U.S. I would imagine that he would be the intergalactic champion as well, if we could gather the data on deficits on other worlds. Obama has taken George W. Bush’s inattention to deficits and elevated it to an art form.”

He continues:

“The Obama administration has no shame, and is willing to abandon reason altogether to achieve its short-term political goals. Ronald Reagan ran up big deficits in part because he believed that his tax cuts would produce economic growth, and ultimately pay for themselves. He may well have been excessively optimistic about the merits of tax cuts, but at least he had a story.
Obama has no story. Nobody believes that his unprecedented expansion of the welfare state will lead to enough economic growth. Nobody believes that it will pay for itself. Everyone understands that higher spending today begets higher spending tomorrow. That means that his economic strategy simply doesn’t add up.


Nothing, seems will stop the Progressives from installing a Disaster in the middle of a already re-occurring disaster and nothing makes less sense than what Obama is doing to the economic base of this country. As bad as the situation in California is today, we are going in such a wrong direction in this country that we have never seen a fiscal crisis like the one that we ae going to face today.


Is this the “Change” the average Obama Supporter was expecting? I'm not so sure that in the coming years these same people will support Obama in 2008 will not support his re-election. If the change to a almost fascist Regine is what people want then we could end up trying to inform them they are in the beginning of something their will ultimately regret.

We are seeing the Michael Jackson of Political, no nothings. A sense that even among these people who worship the President, is the total lack that where this man is going, like Jackson himself! They could careless about his polices and more about his looks. They have no clue and no understanding that they are being lie too..... Does any of this look like Germany in the 1930"s? We do not see adults here! We seeing a craziness beyond comprehension.

The price tag of Obama-care likely to exceed $1 trillion, moderate Democrats face a simple choice. They can jump off the cliff with the president, or become a poor excuse for stupidly. The Democrats are appealing to the lowest common denominator of human political kind. A society where the social classes of people who work hard and make a living is supporting the misfits who sponge off society and seems to be Obama and the Democrat Party's base.
Can you imagine that?

Is the Awakening Coming?

A friend of mine wrote a essay about the current difficulties our Nation is in, and whether we are experiencing the first in a number of events to proceed a coming awakening! As a historian I can only conclude that events are always in flux and that in someways their is never a set time lines we can fall into, even when these events are patterns though tout history.

When you look at where the progressive moment came from and how it developed, we can only conclude that the resurgence has begun. The turning from Liberalism to Progressive was very sudden. Did we, even as Historians see it coming? I am afraid not even I saw it, and I became aware more as I notice even close liberal fiends of mine adopt it, as their own Much like the reinventing from communism to National socialism (Nazism) in the 1920’s under Hitler.

In this case the change from the Progressive moment of the 1920’s, whose members we the likes of Joseph P. Kennedy to Woodrow Wilson, to Teddy Roosevelt to FDR to Liberalism of the 1960’s to the present to the newly emerge Progressive Moment of 2000’s.

What has really change is not the beliefs behind it. A constant reminder that this belief system has it’s roots in the early part of the last century and became violent in the mid of the century with the death of the Progressive moment in Germany.

It pretty much when underground durning the last part of the last century and Conservatives may have done it some favors, and I not talking abut the Republican party as a whole, but the Conservative moment under Goldwater and President Reagan, Focusing on the title Liberalism help bring along the beginning of the re wrap and freshly redressing of the same old Progressive moment, that even Charles Lindbergh bough into.

We see whole take overs of industries in the United States, much like we saw under Hitler and when the Newspaper in the former Soviet Union can see this we have the so called News media coving this up in hopes nobody really notice the change in the wind. Even the Obama word “Change” seems to find a progressive notiion to it. Changing from what to what?

Certainly, no one expected, that change would be the nationalization of the Banks or whole sale takeovers of the Auto industry? This looks more ever day like something Castro or even Chavez would go for.

If you subscribe to the belief that we are headed for awakening in a 20 year cycle we certainly should see signs of that soon, and perhaps we have with the tea parties. This however these events are not a Republican Party events like some in the leftist media subscribe, but purely a American events.

Progressive or Nazi behavior is one of the most dangerous events of our time. Our freedoms are at stake!

The Great Awakening?

A segment on Glen Beck's program today talked about a radical leftist book being translated from French, "The Coming Insurrection" that was written the the communists at the heart of the recent riots. You can find it on the web. I downloaded it because I believe as Glen does, that you need to understand the mindset of those behind the events that will eventually culminate in the next 60's style "revolution" - something YOU and I will live through.

Some years ago I read "Generations: The History of America's Future, 1584 to 2069", written by two historians, William Strauss and Neil Howe, who build upon the shoulders of previous historians (as Sowell did in "A Conflict of Visions"). I subsequently read their follow on, "The Fourth Turing: An American Prophecy: What the Cycles of History Tell Us About America's Next Rendezvous With Destiny".

These were truly eye-opening books. The first is an academic (i.e., readable but not well written) review of the 80-110 year cycle the USA (and related western countries) pass through. During this cycle, society goes repeatedly goes through 4 distinct cycles (I'm starting at an arbitrary point in the cycle):

1. The Awakening (Spiritual Crisis)
2. The Unraveling
3. The Crisis (Civic Crisis)
4. The High
5. Rinse and repeat.

We are currently in the Civic Crisis. Each era lasts about 20 years and has distinctly different characteristics.

The second book, written in the 1990's, discusses one of these eras, the "Fourth Turning". It predicted the "crisis" (9/11 and the economic crisis) though the war came a little earlier than expected. You can read more detail on wikipedia and the Fourth Turning web site.

It is because of these books that I knew that the 9/11 crisis would not only fundamentally change the texture of the next 20 years, but also end up with a large change of ideological hands soon after the end of Bush's term. That is part of the cycle. They even predicted a FDR style "savior" to appear that would make massive changes that in order to get us out of the crisis. They even called it a "New New Deal". I'm not kidding. They predicted Obama, not by name, but by archetype.

I blathered on about all that was in order to give you background before I try to link what the Strauss and Howe books predict will happen in the future with the growing radical leftist movement Glen Beck mentioned.

There has actually been one anomaly in the 4 era pattern: the Civil War (the Civil Crisis) came "early" in the cycle and was especially devastating because of that. You'll have to read about it in the book, but suffice it to say that it was because Lincoln was a "moralistic prophet" leader, seeing things as good and evil making the war worse, and not a member of the next generation which possesses the same pragmatic characteristics as generation X does. This caused the US to completely skip the High 50s's style era and go into the Awakening 60's style era (after a delay).

Why is this important? The Crisis Era is always about war and economics. When 9/11 happened, Strauss and Howe speculated that we may be repeating the Civil War sequence. The (war) crisis came early. It wasn't due until... 2009 or so (I believe)... and the president was, again, from the "moralistic/prophet" generation. The jury's out on wether we'll have another High, 50's style era after this crisis is over (feeling relief and elation that the crisis is over), or wether we'll go right into the next Awakening era: another 60's style era with all of it's societal upheaval: a spiritual crisis, so to say. I personally believe we'll unfortunately skip the 50's style High.

Why all this?

I've been wondering when it would begin and looking for the first inklings of the next crisis because we're all going to live through it. I just hope we can moderate it because we know it's coming. We've already seen some of this with Obama's far left ideology, and with Hillary declaring herself not a "liberal", but a "progressive" of the 1920/30's style. However, we're reliving the the FDR era with them. The Awakening is still in the future, either close by or at least 20 years away. However, the "Progressive" movement is gaining force. I believe that the book Beck mentioned is the first sign of the coming tumult in the next Awakening Era. As with the 60's, it will evidently be violent. Perhaps more so than the 60's were.
